Abstract

Objective To explore the influence the catharsis and cognitive behavioral intervention on anxiety and depression of patients with breast cancer.Methods A total of 130 patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into experimental group of 65 patients and the control group of 65 patients.All patients received conventional care measures,the experimental group were implemented of catharsis and cognitive-behavioral intervention.All the patients were investigated by Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) for anxiety and depression before and after intervention,two groups of patients with anxiety and depression changes were compared.Results After the intervention,anxiety and depression in the experimental group was significantly lower than those inthe control group,the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusions On the basis of conventional care,the patients with breast cancer were treated with the intervention including the catharsis,cognitive education,inner image relaxation method can relieve anxiety and depression symptoms,improve patients' quality of life.
