Abstract

The study focuses on the influence of spiritual quotient (SQ) dimension on performance of employee in IT industry. A Sample of 500 employees were taken for the study, and the random sampling technique was used to find the data from respondents. From Principal Component Analysis it is inferred that morality, steadiness, responsiveness, faithfulness, integrity are the factors contributing to the dimensions of spiritual quotient for employees of IT industry. The Cronbach's alpha scale of 0.86 indicates that each measure demonstrated acceptable internal consistency. The KMO test (KMO = 0.728) and Bartlett's Test (chi-square value = 0.000563; significance = 0.000) indicates that the factor analysis method is appropriate and the coefficient of multiple determinations (R2 is 0.59) and adjusted R2 is 0.57. Therefore, it is inferred that 57% of the variation is performed. Thus the result shows that there is a significant influence of spiritual quotient (SQ) dimensions on performance of employees in IT industry.
