Abstract
This article is devoted to the formation and development of scientific and educational potential and their role in innovation development of the region. It is necessary to distinguish the economic factor, i.e. the readiness of the region for development of investment activity and creation of conditions of fixing of the most important factors influencing the quality of professional formation of educational potential of the population of the region in the area of young professionals. It is shown that an important component of the innovation potential of the region is its scientific potential.
