Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of recombinant human growth hor-mone(r-hGH)on the Nutritional status, immune function and protein metabolism in moderate and several AECOPD.Methods 28 patients with moderate and several AECOPD who received standard nutritional support were enrolled as control group.32 patients with moderate and several AECOPD who received standard nutritional support and r-hGH were included as treatment group. All subjects received anti-infection therapy,phlegm-expelling formula, brochodilators. The levels of TSF,ALB,TRF,PA,creatinine, urea,IgA,IgM,IgG were observed before and 15 days after treatment. Moreover, the variables including T-cell subsets, such as CD3+,CD4+,CD4-/CD8+.Results Compared with control group, subjects in treatment group had a significant increase in TSF,ALB,TRF,PA,creatinine, urea,IgA,IgM,and IgG ( P < 0.05 ).The T-cell subsets, such as CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ were observably higher in treatment group. Conclusions r-hGH could induce better the Nutritional status, immune function and protein metabolism in moderate and several AECOPD. Key words: Recombinant human growth hormone; Nutritional support; Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
