Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Hypothetically oxidative stress (OS) may be influenced by pituitary suppression and COH. Thus, our objectives were to compare the levels of total hydroperoxides (FOX1), advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP), malondialdehyde (MDA), and glutathione in serum of infertile women with and without endometriosis (infertility due to tubal and/or male factor) during the early follicular phase of the menstrual cycle preceding COH (D1), after pituitary suppression with gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (D2), at the day of human corionic gonadotropin (hCG) administration (D3), and at the day of oocyte retrieval (D4).
