Abstract
The article analyzes the interdependence of the healthy lifestyle of representatives of student youth and the level of their physical and psychophysical fitness. The purpose of the article is to study the impact of physical and psychophysical preparation of students on a healthy lifestyle by bringing these concepts into the plane of health-oriented personal activity. During the analysis of the literature, the key concepts were specified: healthy lifestyle, physical and psychophysical preparedness. The practical part of the research is represented by a survey of students of 2-4 years, among the respondents 20% study in the field of "physical education and sports". These students are part of the general sample and at the same time are the control group. A comparison of the survey results of the general sample and the control group demonstrates differences in the level of physical and psychophysical training of students and the quality of their lifestyle. Students of the control group rate their own level of physical and psychophysical fitness higher, adhere to a healthy lifestyle to a greater extent, and among the factors that prevent adherence to a healthy lifestyle, they often choose excessive workload. On the basis of theoretical and practical research, a conclusion was drawn that there is an undeniable relationship between the level of physical and psychophysical fitness of students and their adherence to a healthy lifestyle. The obtained data can be used to develop and optimize programs of educational work with students of higher education institutions in the direction of preserving the health of young people.
