Abstract
Variation of single- and double-escape peak efficiencies at the 2754 keV peak of 24Na were observed by varying the operating voltage of three coaxial germanium detectors. Variation of escape peak ratios of R 1, R 2 and R∼′ are explained and considered to be subject to the active volume of HPGe detectors. The experimental results show that the escape ratios can be an indicator of the active volume for germanium detectors under fully and partially depleted conditions.
