Abstract

In the numerical calculation of VLF field strength prediction, it is found that the time, frequency, propagation path and distance affect the speed and accuracy of numerical calculation. The reason is that the waveguide with different boundary conditions leads to the propagation of radio waves with different frequencies, which lead to different propagation losses, in which ionospheric parameters play a major role. In this paper, the choice of the best ionospheric parameters under different conditions is analyzed by analyzing the influence of the ionospheric profile on the calculation speed and results of the VLF field strength prediction. So we can improve the numerical accuracy and speed of the VLF field strength prediction.
