Abstract
We study the influence of laser treatment on the mechanism of formation of microdefects on the inclusion–matrix interfaces under the conditions of plastic deformation for numerous types of steels. It is shown that the laser treatment promotes the increase in the cohesive strength of these interfaces depending on the energy and duration of pulses, temperature, and strain rate.
