Abstract
Abstract Six insecticides (methomyl, permethrin, dicarbosulf, fenvalerate, fluvalinate, UBI-W439) were evaluated for their effect on quality of fresh cut kernels of sweet corn (Zea mays L.) and control of corn earworm, Heliothis zea (Boddie), Lepidoptera: Noctuidae. Corn color, moisture, and soluble solids were unaffected by any of the insecticides, and all, except UBI-W439, provided acceptable earworm control.
