Abstract

The present study concerns an attempt to determine the influence of foehn winds on air temperature and humidity in the Polish Carpathians. This was carried out using the mean monthly temperature and relative humidity obtained from a number of synoptic stations. Periods with “classical” foehn conditions and the whole period (1966–1985) of record were analysed.
