Abstract

Despite the achievements of therapeutic and surgical treatment approach for patients with ischemic heart disease, depressive and anxiety states are the independent predictor of death, frequently developing in cardiovascular patients and having a negative influence on disease course and recovery prognosis.The article presents the results of research, concerning prevalence of depression among the patients of cardiological profile. The relation between the ischemic heart disease and depressionis shown, the influence of depression on increasing of cardiovascular disease risk and it's clinical course is evaluated, and also the outcome of ischemic heart disease in patients after the myocardial infarction and revasculization is represented. In particular, presence of depression has an influence on result of surgical intervention – the aortocoronary bypass grafting, complicates the course of preoperative period, and also generates the psychological problems.In this connection, the treatment of affective disorders in patients with cardiovascular diseases is compulsory, the questions of development of new treatment and monitoring methods, the choice of best treatment for depressive disorder is an urgent medical problem.
