Abstract

SynopsisSome semidwarf winter wheat selections have a much earlier optimum seeding date than do currently grown varieties as measured by grain and straw yields. This adaptation to earlier fall seeding dates also influenced differential responses by variety to rates of nitrogen fertilizer.
