Abstract

Objective To study the influence of comprehensive intervention before total hip re-placement on patients' postoperative rehabilitation. Methods Eighty patients underwent total hip joint replacement were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group. Psychological inter-vention,urination exercise and rehabilitation education and practice were performed before operation in the experimental group.Tbe control group had none of the education and exercise besides of routine instruction. Postoperative rehabilitative exercise was the same in the two groups. Posoperative psychological state, the first urination and clinical rehabilitation at the end of the first and third months were evaluated. Re-suits The psychological state after operation in the experimental group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05).The first urination of the experimental group was significantly better than the con-trol group (P<0.01). Completion of rehabilitation exercise at the end of the 4th week of the experimental group was more than the control group(P<0.05). The functional score of the replacement hip of the exper-imental group was higher than the control group the end of first and third months(P<0.05) after operation.Conclusions comprehensive intervention before operation can raise the efficacy of rehabilitation training and reduce complications after operation and so can make the patients recover more quickly.
