Abstract

Background and Aims: Lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] is an independent risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases. Although Lp(a) level is mainly determined by genetic variation, it was reported that triglyceride (TG) levels affect Lp(a) levels with clinical significance. This study investigated roles of changes in triglyceride levels on Lp(a) levels when drugs for hyperlipidemia were administered.
