Abstract
Abstract This work focuses on the influence of the aspect ratio on vibration and bending behavior of composite laminates. The baseline plate is T300/934 carbon/epoxy with a symmetric stacking sequence of [0°/90°/0°/90°/0°]S and the size of 200 mm x 200 mm. The aspect ratio was varied from 0.25 – 10. Vibration and bending behavior was predicted by Classical Laminated Plate Theory (CLPT) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The results agree well. Slender laminates were further studied with different stacking sequences in the form of cantilever beams. Only FEA was performed because it is more adaptable to problems with multiple configurations.
