Abstract
The hydrogen equilibrium abessure above a two-phase mixture RCo 5H x + RCo 5H y can be changed slightly by applying a magnetic field. For H=10 kOe a relative change Δp/p ≈ 6×10 −3 has been measured for R=La, x=3.35, y=4.3, T=295 K.
