Abstract
The Industry/Joint Services Automatic Test Project had its beginning in May 1975 at a joint NSIA/AIA meeting where the Navy presented their problems associated with the growing use of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) in the Fleet. The industry Ad Hoc Automatic Test Project for the Navy, under the auspices of five industry associations, commenced September 1975. A final report was issued April 1977, highlighting the lack of RD the final report is scheduled for issue in the spring of 1979.
