Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the possibility of using modern information technologies developed within the framework of the Industry 4.0 concept in order to reduce the level of occupational injuries and occupational diseases, as well as increase environmental safety at enterprises and organizations of the Russian Federation. The authors describe the essence of the concept of Industry 4.0, the main parameters characterizing the developed technologies within Industry 4.0 are presented. Nine main characteristics are highlighted: compatibility, virtualization, decentralization, the ability to work in real time, service orientation, modularity, convergence, cost reduction and increased production efficiency, mass customization. In addition, the article examines the practice of using modern Industry 4.0 technologies that can improve working conditions and reduce the risk of injury at enterprises of the Russian Federation. The main technologies analyzed by the authors are: IoT sensors (industrial Internet of Things), robotics, automated controlled vehicles, biomedical sensors, augmented and virtual reality. For each technology, the main advantages of its use are described, as well as specific examples are analyzed. The authors of the article analyzed the annual reports of large Russian industrial companies that have switched to using solutions based on "Industry 4.0" technologies. Such companies are: Gazprom Neft, SIBUR, MMK, Rosatom. When analyzing the reports, the main emphasis was placed on the study of data on occupational injuries and accidents for the period from 2018 to 2021. Based on the studied data, a diagram was compiled reflecting the dynamics of industrial accidents since the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies in the companies listed above. Based on all the information studied, it was revealed that the use of Industry 4.0 technologies together with other classical methods of industrial safety management can seriously reduce the number of accidents and injuries at various industrial enterprises.
