Abstract
Abstract The electrooptical modulation with frequence more 100 kHZ was obtained in induced ferroelectric salicylidenanylene liquid crystals with spontaneous polarization 20-25 nC. cm and tilt angle of molecules 20-25 at room temperature. The switching times up to 10-20 μseo were achieved in image converters based on structure metal-insulator-semiconductor-liquid crystal. The new type of image converters was suggested in which a alow ohmic semiconductor (p<102 Ohm. cm) served as an electrode and a contact region among semiconductor and liquid crystal acted as photosensitive part. The switching times attain 1-5 μsec in the image converter of the offered construction.
