Gunawan H, Sugiarti. 2015. Fauna diversity in Biodiversity Park of Mekarsari, Sukabumi, West Java. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 1: 1821-1827.PT. Aqua Golden Mississippi (PT. AGM) Mekarsari, Cicurug, Kabupaten Sukabumi is a multinational corporation which produce bottled drinking water that has been awarded a green trophy for the compliance in conserving biodiversity. PT. AGM has established a Biodiversity Park as a mean of springs protection as a base material in producing bottled drinking water. The Biodiversity Park of 10.12 hectares has covered by a “forest like” vegetation and occupied by vary of wild fauna. This research is aimed to study the structure and composition of wild fauna in the Biodiversity Park. A transect inventory was applied using tracks and river as transects for observing all species of wild fauna. An IPA method was arranged to observe the diversity of birds. The research found 35 species of vertebrate consisted of nine species of mammal, eight species of reptile and amphibian, and 18 species of bird.The diversity index of total fauna community is 3.5725 and evenness index is 0.9767.Diversity and evenness indices of mammal were 1.7481 and 0.7956 respectively. Diversity and evenness indices of reptile and amphibian were 2.0432 and 0.9826 respectively. Bird’s diversity and evenness indices were 2.2152 and 0.7819 respectively. We can conclude that the Biodiversity Park was succeed providing habitat for vary of wild fauna which nine of them were protected species.
