Abstract

One of the elements of modern teaching organization which significantly improves the quality and efficiency of teaching and ensures its innovation is individualization. This paper sees the individualization of teaching as an innovation that helps enhance achievement of individual goals of teaching and as a method to create conditions for students to grow and advance at individual pace. This paper aims at approaching further the theoretical insight into individualization as a form of innovation in teaching, that is, at explaining the effects which individualization provides in ensuring the quality and efficiency of teaching. The emphasis in this paper is on didactic values of individualized teaching analyzed through: aims, tasks, methods and teaching aids used to design the structure of individualization. In order to present actual solutions for the individualized teaching model, the paper offers a model of tasks at three levels of complexity for the following: 'Nature and Society' subject, teaching topic 'Terrain of the area' and teaching topic 'Water surfaces in the surrounding area'.
