Abstract

The study of individual typological traits of pilots of civil aviation was performed. Fifty-eight healthy pilots (the control group) and 67 pilots with cerebral atherosclerosis, including 23 subjects with atherosclerotic plaques, were examined. The individual typological questionnaire developed by L.N. Sobchik was used in the study. Accentuated personality traits were found in pilots with cerebral atherosclerosis, which appeared mainly as alterations in personality traits. These alterations could be used by experts during aeromedical examination for estimation of health and professional prospects of pilots.
