Abstract
A combination of chlorodimethylsilane and allyltrimethylsilane effectively promoted the deoxygenative allylation of aromatic ketones in the presence of a catalytic amount of an indium compound to give the terminal alkenes. Indium trihalide or metallic indium showed high catalytic activity.
