Abstract
In view of the new perspectives brought about by the concept of sustainable development, the need was created for the restructuring of companies and adaptation to this new perception. In the civil construc-tion (CC), the challenge of sustainability, assumed a few years ago, a prominent role in the Brazilian agenda. Based on this and the background of different authors, the objective of this article was to deve-lop a methodology that considers the multiple existing indicators to diagnose companies in the CC sector in relation to the implementation of sustainable practices. For this purpose, a matrix with more than 150 indicators and 38 authors was created, which developed their studies about this problem, and could serve as a positive benchmarking for organizations that wish to build their own performance indicators.
