Abstract

The global pharmaceutical industry has shown high interest in India due to its sustained economic growth and health care reforms. In the last few years the Indian pharmaceutical industry has achieved significant momentum, making its presence felt in the global market, primarily through its focus on the global generics market. Better quality control and international packaging specifications are needed before India can compete with international norms in drug production.
