Abstract

Development of emotion regulation may inform predisposition or resilience to affective psychopathologies. While small cohort studies have identified prenatal drug exposure (PDE) and childhood trauma (CT) as factors that impact such development, a large-scale assessment of their interactive impact is warranted. Using data from the ABCD Study, we hypothesize that PDE and CT independently and interactively will be associated with altered activity of neural substrates underlying emotion processing in children exposed to PDE and CT.
