Increasing the load capacity of a gear transmission under skew conditions by reducing contact stresses by means of longitudinal modification of the teeth

Abstract

A method was developed and dependencies were obtained for determining the parameters of the longitudinal modification of the gear wheels teeth. Longitudinal modification is an effective way to reduce contact stresses in case of misalignment of axes in gear mechanisms, increases the load capacity of the gear transmission.
