Abstract

Background In modern drilling practice, when drilling complex-profile wells, high requirements are imposed on drilling fluids, due to the need to maintain their technological parameters in order to prevent the occurrence of possible complications during well drilling, especially with a horizontal end. In this direction, inhibited polymer-clay and clay-free water-based drilling fluids containing a lignosulfonate component have proven themselves well. This article discusses reagents for reducing consumption by adjusting the viscosity and filtration rate of drilling fluids based on lignosulfonates of the neutral-sulfite cooking method. As modifying agents, it is proposed to use AM-1, PG-1 and GLT-1. Aims and Objectives Selection of modifiers to improve the efficiency of the targeted application of the reagent based on neutral sulfite lignosulfonate. Experimental studies on the effect of modifiers AM-1, PG-1 and GLT-1 on the technological properties of lignosulfonate drilling systems. Methods Instrumental methods to GD 39-00147001-773-2004 for determining the parameters of drilling fluids according with the addition of lignosulfonate reagents, modifying systems in the composition of polymers and alcohols, both in the case of their separate and joint introduction into the drilling fluid. Results The analysis of studies on lignosulfonate reagents, selection and experimental study of modifying additives (AM-1, PG-1, GLT-1) for clay drilling mud, which increases the efficiency of reagents based on neutral sulfite lignosulfonates. Conclusion The prospects for the use of lignosulfonate systems modified with AM-1, PG-1 and GLT-1 reagents for both clayey and clayless drilling fluids when drilling wells in complicated conditions have been determined.
