Incorporation in vivo of leucine-14C into proteins of the placenta and maternal liver of mice is highest on the fifteenth day of gestation. The two tissues show significant differences in labeling of proteins as a function of time after the amino acid administration. The pattern of leucine incorporation into hepatic proteins of gravid and nongravid mice is different.
