Abstract

Female adolescents in the United States are at high risk for adverse sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes. Few pediatric primary care practices offer contraceptive and gynecological services, presenting a gap in care. The purpose of this project was to evaluate the feasibility of a new adolescent SRH program at a private pediatric primary care practice. Results reveal that there is demand for SRH care, and meeting these needs in a primary care setting is appropriate and feasible. Evaluating financial sustainability and advocating for policy change to increase private clinics’ ability to provide SRH care are important future steps.
