Abstract

This chapter took refuge partly with the transnational study carried out in 2013 in Africa and took the rest of its content from other resource research collections in recent times, particularly in Nigeria. Nigeria as a country is the base of this chapter and some of the policies and implementation blue-prints of the Federal Government of Nigeria as well as those of UNESCO and individual researches are cited. The demographic location of Nigeria as well as the historical development of education and special needs education in particular was the centre stage. This led us to focus and domesticate inclusive education perspectives in this chapter. Education development were harvested and brought into the bane to increase awareness and knowledge of the past and present. Sub-themes that are discussed in this chapter include curriculum innovations, objectives and applications, teachers and administrative management skills in implementing inclusive education, understanding persons with special needs assessment and the constrains felt by inclusive education institutions.
