Introduction

The global pervasiveness of COVID-19 has been designated as “Public Health Emergency” and it is crafting major health implications globally. The aim of the present study is to propose a conceptual model demonstrating risk factors triggering the morbidity and mortality progression in COVID-19 patients. Method/Design: The present systematic review was carried out in accordance with PRISMA framework. An extensive literature exploration was performed for all published items in numerous databases viz. EBSCO, Google Scholar, ProQuest, Pub-Med and Research Gate. The inclusion strategy expedited the selection of 28 articles using PICOS procedure
