Abstract

Introduction - In pediatric surgery, size mismatch inducing between artificial vascular grafts and growing recipients vessels remains a serious problem to be solved. Biotubes are connective tissue tubes, formed by in body tissue architecture technology (IBTA), which is a novel and practical approach of regenerative medicine. Recently, we developed type C Biotubes with thick wall thickness. This study aimed to evaluate the growth potential of type C Biotubes by examining their caliber and length adaptation to growing native arteries after implantation.
