Abstract

To the Editor: We sincerely appreciate the kind words of the colleagues1 who deserve our respect for their work and contributions. We rarely use diuretics for brain relaxation, as cerebrospinal fluid drainage obviates the need for this class of agents. In addition, we do not believe that the mechanism of edema among the patients described in our paper2 was related to a lack of use of diuretics because those edema episodes were localized. We look forward to the upcoming results of our colleagues’ studies. Funding This study did not receive any funding or financial support. Disclosures The authors have no personal, financial, or institutional interest in any of the drugs, materials, or devices described in this article.
