Abstract

### Spontaneous MxA mRNA level predicts relapses in patients with recently diagnosed MS Baseline MxA mRNA levels were measured in a prospective cohort of 116 untreated, recently diagnosed MS patients and were related to clinical relapses and MRI at baseline and at follow-up. The authors found that MxA mRNA was related to clinical exacerbations and could be a potential biomarker for clinical disease activity in MS.
