Abstract

A device for determining the interturn short circuit in the windings of coils of electric locomotives have developed. The device compares favorably with known devices in that both the rated load and the high-voltage source for checking the insulation of the winding are switched on at the same time. This significantly increases the probability of detecting the interturn short circuit.
