Abstract

This research investigates the influence of using the recycled rice straw ash powder on performance of UHPCC exposed to axial compressive load and elevated temperature (600 °C) simultaneously. A total of 16 UHPCC of different recycled rice straw ash powder ratios was used. The tested columns included loaded, unloaded columns, and columns cooled by various methods. Using the recycled rice straw ash as concrete filler enhanced the concrete elevated temperature resistance. Results indicated that testing UHPCC at elevated temperature while exposing them to axial compression offered well understanding for the structural behavior of axially loaded columns. Rice straw powder improves the fire resistance of UHPCC. FEA using ANSYS Software version 2019-R1 was achieved to validate experimental study. FE numerical models were analysed by considering the acquired findings to the experimental testing results in a respectable agreement manner.
