Abstract

Subject. The problem of providing the population with milk is important, in the light of the solution of the food supply of the population with domestic food. Dairy cattle breeding is an industry that is affected by a large number of factors contributing to its development. This article discusses the trends of increasing the efficiency of the intensification of dairy cattle breeding and identifies promising areas of research. This article examines the trends of increasing the efficiency of the intensification of dairy cattle breeding and identifies promising areas for a comprehensive author's study of determining the direction of development of increasing the efficiency of the intensification of dairy cattle breeding. The meaning Methodology is repeated. Abstract-logical, economic-statistical, monographic methods were used in the research process. Results. The dynamics of dairy cattle production in the Penza region has been studied, which made it possible to identify trends in the development of agricultural production in the region and draw certain conclusions about the effectiveness of its development. The most successful results of production in agriculture of the region have been achieved in dairy farming. It is proved that the development of dairy farming is one of the main directions ensuring the rational provision of the population with food and food security of the country, since the volume of production and consumption of dairy products in the agriculture of the region in terms of per capita significantly exceeds the indicators at the national level. It is necessary to write what the author has done in that section. For example, an analysis of the state of dairy cattle breeding in the Penza region was carried out… The conducted study of the state of dairy cattle breeding shows that the vectors of its development in recent years have changed significantly not only by categories of farms, but also in the industry as a whole. Grant support of farmers contributes to the growth of the number of cows in peasant (farm) farms in the region. The decrease in the number of cows in the farms of the population is due to both the aging of the rural population and the low attractiveness for young people. The ongoing decline in the number of cows in agricultural organizations is mainly aimed at improving the genetic potential and its higher use in milk production. The level of industrialization of the industry has increased in large-scale farms. The industrialization of the industry has led to an increase in milk yield per 1 cow in agricultural organizations by almost 2 times in 2010-2018. The factors that determine the volume of milk production in the modern period and in the future are revealed to a greater extent. Conclusions. It is concluded that when determining the directions of increasing the efficiency of the intensification of dairy cattle breeding, it is necessary to take into account the location and concentration of production, more widely use the mechanisms of innovative development of the industry, take into account modern trends in increasing the digitalization of the industry. A balanced state policy is needed with the support of dairy cattle breeding, which should be reflected through its development strategy not only at the economic level, but also at the regional level, taking into account the level of development of all categories of farms.
