Abstract

The article presents the author’s experimental data on changes in the fuel injection pressure of diesel injectors during operation, the nature of the unevenness of such changes for different injectors is revealed, which contributes to the uneven operation of the cylinders. As a result, fuel consumption increases and the service life of the engine decreases. The peculiarity of agricultural machinery engines is that they work for a long time at the nominal mode and there is no possibility to adjust the injectors in repair shops, as this is done on diesel locomotives. In order to find a practical solution to ensure the process of adjusting the injectors without removing the combines from operation and sending them to repair shops, the TRIZ system (Theory of Solving Inventive Tasks) was applied. Technical contradictions were drawn up - TP1 and TP2. To find a technical solution, an organizational technical system of the diesel adjustment process was proposed by replacing the operational injectors with a set of spare ones adjusted at the stands of repair shops. The proposed system will reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions into the atmosphere during operation and increase the service life of the combine engine.
