Abstract
In this study, the as-cast Cu-10Sn-1P alloy was subjected to multi-pass (1–3 passes) accumulative back extrusion (ABE) process. Also, the effects of the process were investigated on microstructure and dry sliding wear behavior. The results indicated a significant decline in the coefficient of friction (COF) and wear rate of processed samples. The enhanced tribological properties was attributed to the microstructural adjustment, as well as improved hardness and wear active mechanism to change from adhesive/severe abrasive wear to a combination of oxidation and mild abrasive mechanisms.
