Abstract
Two algorithms for classification of the number of interaction points of gamma-ray in a Compton camera with scintillator crystal are developed, taking into account the limited processing power of the edge electronics in the space environment. One of the algorithms is relaying on a machine learning image classification convolution network, and the other is a numerical method, searching for multiple maxima peaks in the light intensity over the detector plane. Preliminary results of the accuracy of the two approaches are provided and discussed.
