Abstract

A brief review of the literature pertaining to the use of hypnosis in an educational setting precedes a description of one particular hypnotic approach involving the use of the clenched fist as a conditioned trigger. The efficacy of this technique is explored through a study of the examination performance of high school students. Comparison of examination results before and after use of the clenched fist technique indicates that this simple approach is capable of producing positive outcomes.
