Abstract
Abstract Path length and wedge parameter of IR-cells for liquids are necessary for the exact determination of absorptivities. A new Fourier-Transform method is worked out which gives precise parameters in the case of wedge shaped cells. When deviations from plane window surfaces exist, an estimate of the inner cell shape can be derived. Finally, the relevant parameters are optimized by a least squares procedure fitting the cell transmittance over a wide spectral range.
