Abstract
A technique to correct the time walk due to the rise-time change has been developed in order to improve the time resolution. of coaxial Ge(Li) detectors. Typical time resolutions (fwhm) of 2.0 ns for 1332 keV gamma rays and 3.4 ns for 511 keV gamma rays have been obtained for a 60 cm 3 coaxial Ge(Li) detector. It is emphasized that the improvement can be achieved without any loss of efficiency.
