Abstract

It was difficult for most of college students, composed of various grades, to comprehend dynamics by traditional lecture and to evaluate students' daily efforts only by the result of the terminal examinations in our junior college; for some of them have a poor comprehension and low motivation for learning.Therefore, a newly improved teaching method was tried. One class was divided into a fundamental course and an applied course, which were selected by students themselves. After a standard lecture, by using my handmade textbook, two type of exercises were done according to their ability. Credits were given not only by examinations, but also observing the result of their exercise procedures.The result is that students become highly motivated and become eager to comprehend dynamics because of ability grouping.
