Abstract

The magnetic levitation transport system is developed. In this system, by using the pinning force of the HTS, stable levitation and guide without control is realized. Propulsion force is generated by the interaction between the permanent magnet and the air core copper coil (propulsion coil). Since a larger propulsion force is required to improve the propulsion characteristics, the pinned flux of the HTS that maintains the carrier levitation is also used. In order to control the carrier velocity, the improved excitation method of the propulsion coil is introduced. The non-excitation mode coil is defined according to the velocity of the carrier. As a result, the average velocity error becomes smaller compared with that of the normal control method, and the propulsion characteristics are improved. Experimental results show that the average velocity error decreases by about 4.2%.
