Abstract

ABSTRACT An electrochemical cell is described with which the in situ microscopic observation of electrodeposition and dissolution of metals is possible using high magnification objective lenses having working distances as low as 0.02 cm. The cell can be operated in either galvanostatic or potentiostatic mode. With small modifications the cell is also suitable for the study of porous battery electrode processes.
