Abstract
AbstractIt is shown that in the n‐body problem with generalized attraction law (inverse (α + l )‐power of the distance, α > 0) the set of initial conditions which lead to collinear motion is of Lebesgue measure zero and nowhere dense with respect to the set of initial conditions that define solutions in R3 or R2.
