Ayurveda is science of longevity. It deliberates on purpose of long life and maintain healthy condition. Ayurveda mentioned about different modalities and principle for healthy life like dincharya, ratricharya, ritucharya, sadvritta, rasayan therapy, proper aahara vihara, vyayam, achara rasayan etc. In which bramha muhurtha jagarana stands as important principle as modern regimen of today’s life has alarming effect on body. Bramha muhurtha is known as amrutavela. This article is based on different classical texts, journal, books, internet sources, research papers, experiences and observation. The aim of this article is emphasis on waking up in bramha muhurtha along with its benefits with modern correlation. It helps to keep body healthy by maintaining equilibrium in dosha, dhatu, mala, and agni. It helps in proper voiding of bowel by inducing external as well as internal movement. It has remarkable effect on genetic, endocrine, excretory, circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, and nervous system.
